Hello! We are the Edgells. We adopted our first daughter from China in 2013. She brought so much joy and love into our family that we decided to adopt again. We traveled to China in Sept 2015 to adopt our second daughter. Eisley was born with a complex heart condition that was untreated in China. While her future seemed scary & uncertain, we chose LOVE over fear and worked quickly to bring her home and get the medical help she needed. She had her first heart surgery on Dec 28, 2015. She spent 75 days in the hospital battling more infections and complications than any person should face. Sadly, she passed away in March 2016, just 4 days after her 2nd birthday. We quickly realized that we could experience HOPE in the midst of our grief. We recognized that we still had room in our hearts and home for another child. And we knew our first daughter was a terrific big sister and we desired for her to have another sibling. So here we are in the midst of the process again! It's exciting and overwhelming to think about all that is involved between the paperwork and expenses. Yet we are continually humbled by family, friends, and even strangers who desire to be part of our village and help make it possible for there to be ONE LESS orphan in the world.
