Micah Adams

is adopting a child from Congo

It is with great JOY we that announce that we are adding another precious little girl to our family! We are over the moon about Kameron Hope and cannot wait to bring her home from Mwana Villages in the Republic of Congo. We are so undeserving of the honor it is to be her parents. She is so special and more wonderful than we could have ever imagined!

It is by grace alone that we are able to know her and each of our kids. Our greatest prayer for all of our children, current and future, is that they would love Jesus more than anything else in their lives. Our goal as parents is to foster an environment where our kids are exposed to the gospel as we strive (and often fail) to love and see others like Jesus does and give our lives away completely for His name's sake. Our desire to adopt came long before we were married 5 years ago. For us, adoption has always felt like such a natural extension of what the Lord has done for us. We have been rescued as sons and daughters by our Heavenly Father and given this great joy of knowing Him. Because of this joy, we desire to be a tiny glimpse of the gospel and live it out through adoption.

If you are reading this page, chances are you are an important person in our lives. While we know we are called to adopt, we also know we are not called to do it alone. Some of the greatest gifts God has given us through the years are relationships. Relationships that encourage us, challenge us, and have helped us become who we are today. We have no idea what parenting three or more children will be like and will continue to need encouragement, wisdom, and prayers.

It is no secret that adoption and international adoption specifically are huge financial burdens. While it would be easy for us to succumb to the fear of financial instability, we know we are being asked to give our lives (and money) away for the sake of the gospel. We have already invested over $10,000 towards Kameron's adoption. We estimate our adoption will cost upwards of $35,000 when it is all said and done. These costs include our home study ($4,000), adoption agency ($10,000), licensing fees ($2,500) US lawyer ($4,500), Congolese lawyer ($4,000), and travel expenses ($10,000). ****Mwana Villages does not receive ANY compensation whatsoever for her adoption.**** We have created this site as an opportunity for you to partner with us and forever become a part of Kameron's story as we work towards fully funding her adoption.
