Geldmeier Family Adoption
We're adopting a baby!
As you may know, we've been struggling with breaking hearts for some time as we tried to have another baby with no success. Earlier this year we decided we didn't want to let our infertility diagnosis have the final word in growing our family. On Mother's Day we took the first steps towards a domestic infant adoption.
We're beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Adoption related costs can easily add up. This is why we have set a goal of $15,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up.
Our adoption just got updated to Paperwork Complete by Dorian and Laura Geldmeier
Hey friends - we are so excited to let you know that we are officially being viewed/considered by expecting mothers! Please pray for our birth mother as she is bravely and selflessly considering an adoption plan. And keep praying for us as we prepare to meet her and our baby!
1st Fundraiser Launch: #AlpacaPack by Dorian and Laura Geldmeier
As you may know, the cost of adoption can be overwhelming, but we feel incredibly blessed by the support we've already received for our adoption!
We've been cutting back and saving as much as possible and we plan to apply for all the grants we can as soon as our homestudy is complete (in 3-4 months time). We also plan to do some fundraising, and we know we're going to need a PACK of people to help us reach our goal.
Would you consider joining our #AlpacaPack? Here's how:
All the donations we receive of $15 or more will get a thank you gift from us of this precious plush alpaca 🙂
You can give it to a kiddo in your life, knowing that your gift helped bring our kiddo home too
You can keep it and when we bring our daughter to your home, and she sees the alpaca, she'll know you were a special part of helping to bring her home.
When you receive your alpaca, make sure to post a pic of you with your alpaca and add the hashtag #AlpacaPack so we can celebrate together the PACK of people that already love her!
