Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression, defend the orphan, plead the widow&'s cause. -Isaiah 1:17. We are the Mills family, Simon, Amy, and Gideon (4). Our family is working to bring Vivienne Tian Mills(21mos)home before Christmas! Last summer, Simon traveled to China with a small group from our church,sponsored by Zhanjiang Kids Organization to serve at the orphanage in Zhanjiang, China. Jim & Vickie Bennett are adoptive parents and leaders in founding ZKO, an organization that provides this orphanage with supplies, nannies, and teachers for a toddler and pre-school program. Simon returned forever changed and I knew we would be adopting in the future. The Lord prepared my heart, eliminated my fear, and opened my eyes to the reality of these orphans. Vivienne was to be adopted by another family last March and her adoption was interrupted within the first 24 hours. Although tragic, this event has opened the quick and unexpected opportunity/blessing for us to welcome this beautiful little Pearl into our family. We knew we wanted to eventually grow our family through adoption but didn&'t comprehend the speed at which God moved to make that happen! Simon and I have wanted to have another child for the past 3 years and endured a miscarriage in September of 2013. Vivienne was born the same month and year as our loss. We cannot do this alone and humbly ask that you consider helping bring our little China Pearl home. Simon and I are trusting in the Lord&'s provisions for seeing us through and providing for our every adoption need. We know you will be blessed to be a part of Vivienne&'s story.
