We have BIG news!
We are adopting! A brother or sister for our sweet Rowan.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We are working extra hours, saving all we can, but the insurmountable costs of adoption coupled with another unpaid family leave makes our journey feel impossible at times. With support from loved ones and the kindness of strangers, we know we will achieve the impossible…and we continue to be humbled by the generosity and love of the adoption community.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Adoption is big. It's scary, beautiful and huge. We will take a leap of faith to build our family and make a child a beloved member of our family. Adoption takes a village and we are SO grateful you are in ours.
