We are excited to share that we’re in the process of adopting! We believe we have been adopted into God’s family though Christ (Romans 8:14-17). We love the idea of giving a child our hearts, our family, and our home. Our perfectly sovereign God is choosing to create life in a mother somewhere, and while this mother may not be able to care for her child, the Lord has created in us a desire to do so. We’re praying for this yet unknown mother and father, and for our son, just as we prayed when Katie was pregnant with our first four children. We have much to study and learn, but we are overjoyed with anticipation for our fifth child!
We would greatly appreciate your prayers as we continue on this journey! We know each of you is an important part of our son’s story both in these beginning phases and in his life to come. As an African proverb says, “It takes a village to raise a child”–you are that village and we are thankful for you!
