Tara and I have been together since 2005 as highschool sweethearts. I joined the Marine Corps in 2008 and recently got out in April 2021 after adopting 5 children in need from foster care.l while at a duty station in TX. We adopted from 3 separate families and 4 separate cases. After adopting we moved to NH where my wife and I grew up to give our children a stable and loving life. We have two 5yo girls Aurora and Kyri, (only 4months apart), a 6 yo boy named Jett, a 8yo girl named Skylar, and a 10 yo named Atlas. We have chosen to keep the bio families in contact as we feel it is important. The birth mom of some of our child called and stated she is pregnant and still not in a safe environment to raise a child yet. She asked if we can adopt her baby to keep the children together and we absolutely will. We are excited at the opportunity to raise a baby. The baby is due this November 2022. The upfront costs have us concerned as we also prepare a nursery and the costs to fly back to Texas for the baby and back to NH. While in TX we were selected to be interviewed and on the news for Thanksgiving to tell our story through Foster Care. We are so happy to have built our family the way we have and I hope to one day make a non-profit called A Heroes Hope to help military families and veterans in their process of adopting and building a family.
