I am adopting a child!
I am beyond excited and doing everything I can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful 7 year old girl from The Republic of Congo into my home.
As you may or may not know, adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more! Therefore, I have started this crowdfunding campaign in hopes that folks will join me in this journey financially.
With two required trips to Congo, the total of my adoption will be approximately $32,000. The most significant expense is the primary provider agency and lawyer stateside totaling $12,905. Fees for the Congolese attorney and in-country court filings are $5,200. Then the costs for the trips to Congo, and her return airfare, is estimated at $12,590.
Given that I've already paid various fees and set some money aside, I have set a goal of $29,000.
