When we started dreaming of our future together, before we got married, we both knew we would love to adopt. We hoped to have both biological and adopted children in our family. In early 2019, we learned that there would be a slim chance we could have biological children. This was hard news for us to accept. In the midst of it though, we felt God’s grace in that He had prepared our hearts with the desire to adopt long before. We submitted part one of many, many hours of paperwork this fall to officially begin the adoption process! We are so thrilled to bring our child(ren) into our home this way! It will be a journey filled with brokenness and redemption, hope and heartache, joy and learning.
We know that we cannot do this alone and we need all the support and help we can get. That’s where you come in! You get to be a part of bringing our child home. There are many ways you can support us in this adventure, but we will just name a few.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $20,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
