We are so excited and thankful to have started on a journey we didn't know the Lord had in store for us - the road to adoption! For many years, we prayed and asked the Lord if our family was complete or not with five children, but he was silent. After three years, in the stillness of a new year, he began to direct us to adoption. We had walked the road to having children many times, but the road to adoption has been a complete learning curve! We have learned that it is filled with ups and downs, but we know that these battles are worth it in order to bring another child or children into our home and point them to Jesus.
As you can imagine, when we started the process, we really didn't really consider cost as a factor in our decision. We just knew that the Lord was calling us to do something, and therefore, we wanted to obey. We were completely shocked at just how much it really is to adopt, but continue moving forward, with the assurance that the God who parted the seas and fed the five thousand, will no less provide for this little one who is coming to our home. We trust his heart for the orphan and know that what is impossible with man is possible with God!
We are so thankful for each of you as friends and family, and we want to do this journey with you alongside us. We want to keep you updated in the process and allow you to know how to pray for us and rejoice with us as the Lord does a work only He can do. In that, if the Lord should choose to prompt you to support us in giving this special child a home, this is the place. Adoption is filled with unknowns, so the actual time we will be matched or placed with a child is so far from our knowledge, but we already believe that the Lord knows exactly who this little one is!
