is adopting a child from China

Over the past few months we have felt God's call to adopt again. Just a few months ago I would have never dreamed I would be saying this, but over the past few months God has been dealing with me (Dad) in an unbelievable way. Looking back over the past several months I can see where God has been speaking to me and slowly opening my heart up to adopting again. I honestly didn't even realize it was happening, but looking back I can now see the slow progression from feeling that there was no way we would ever adopt again to the point I am now of knowing that this is what we must do. When we adopted Emma we had all the money we needed in the Bank before we started the adoption process. We had a few fundraisers that netted about $3,000, but we did not ask people to simply give money. That is not the case this time. We spent almost $41,000 to adopt Emma. It was the best investment we have ever made! Approximately $3,000 of the $41,000 was money we lost due to changing adoption agencies due to us not feeling comfortable with what our original adoption agency was telling us. That means that our best estimate is that it will cost approximately $38,000 for us to adopt again. I know it's a big number, but we also serve a big God who has made it clear to me that it is his will for us to do this and that he will provide the money. I firmly believe this is God's answer to my prayer to do something through our family that people will see and know that only God could have done it. I saw a post on Facebook that said "My friends, adoption is redemption. It's costly, exhausting, expensive, and outrageous. Buying back lives costs so much. When God set out to redeem us, it killed him." I shared this previously of Facebook, but it's worth sharing here again, "God searched for you, found you, fought for you, signed the papers with His blood and He adopted you and brought you Home and the only way any of us get into the family of God is through the most painful adoption." I believe that adoption is such a special blessing because it is truly a picture of the Gospel. While the sacrifices (really just inconveniences) we made to adopt Emma are nothing compared to what Jesus did for us, we still get the same result of bringing a child into a forever home where they will be loved forever. We are now inviting you to be part of God's redemption story.
