is adopting a child from India

Alright so we have been waiting to share some exciting news with you all!

I wrote on our blog (http://weunformed.com) about how we have learned to let God into our broken places. Because when your brave is broken, you let God in. And as we let Him in, He holds, renews, and restores. He has been at work in our family since we lost Adam as we have grieved and been angry and celebrated and been thankful. One thing we know is that Adam's story is not over nor is our family's story over. Because we serve a God who makes beauty from ashes. As Adam's life ended on earth, his story continues to instill hope and joy in lives around the world and there has even been a beautiful playground built in his memory in India! (https://vimeo.com/171420426)

Adam taught us courage and how to be brave. At the same time, he taught us neediness in the way he lived his every day life. He was brave with each day he lived and he was needy in how he let us/depended on us to care for his every need. That is how I want to be…needy and brave. Needy because I cannot do life alone and all of us, at least the honest ones, know that we can't do it on our own. And brave because we can do hard things because our God did the hardest thing (namely, defeating the curse of death).

Through Adam's life, we have learned to lean with a bend towards the broken and we bend towards the broken bc He bent and was broken for us.

Sooo…all that to say we are ADOPTING again!

We have been approved and are currently 75% thru our home study process. We are adopting a little girl from India and hope to have her home with us in the next 18months.

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. I know many of you have journeyed with us as we raised funds for Adam. We'd love to have you join us to bring our daughter home as well\<3

It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. We will update you along the way and cannot wait to share her story as we learn more of it down the road.

*All giving thru Adopt Together will go directly towards ONLY adoption fees/costs. Your giving will be tax deductible thru giving to Adopt Together*
