Alright so we have been waiting to share some exciting news with you all!

I wrote on our blog (  about how we have learned to let God into our broken places. Because when your brave is broken, you let God in. And as we let Him in, He holds, renews, and restores. He has been at work in our family since we lost Adam as we have grieved and been angry and celebrated and been thankful. One thing we know is that Adam's story is not over nor is our family's story over. Because we serve a God who makes beauty from ashes. As Adam's life ended on earth, his story continues to instill hope and joy in lives around the world and there has even been a beautiful playground built in his memory in India! (

Adam taught us courage and how to be brave. At the same time, he taught us neediness in the way he lived his every day life. He was brave with each day he lived and he was needy in how he let us/depended on us to care for his every need. That is how I want to be...needy and brave. Needy because I cannot do life alone and all of us, at least the honest ones, know that we can't do it on our own. And brave because we can do hard things because our God did the hardest thing (namely, defeating the curse of death).

Through Adam's life, we have learned to lean with a bend towards the broken and we bend towards the broken bc He bent and was broken for us.

Sooo...all that to say we are ADOPTING again!

We have been approved and are currently 75% thru our home study process. We are adopting a little girl from India and hope to have her home with us in the next 18months.

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. I know many of you have journeyed with us as we raised funds for Adam. We'd love to have you join us to bring our daughter home as well<3

It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. We will update you along the way and cannot wait to share her story as we learn more of it down the road.

*All giving thru Adopt Together will go directly towards ONLY adoption fees/costs. Your giving will be tax deductible thru giving to Adopt Together*

Our adoption just got updated to Child Identified by Jessica Paulraj

the wait is over!

Our brave girl has a name and a story that we are just starting to scratch the surface of. You guys...she’s more beautiful and full of light and strength at her tender age of 23 months than we could have fathomed. We found out two weeks ago today and are still wrapping our heads and hearts around all that has happened. She is in an orphanage in India and she turns 2 at the end of the month. That will make her and Silas 6 weeks apart which will be hysterical and beautiful.

I will share her picture as soon as I can, but until then I’ll share this gorgeous magnet (again) with this banner of truth that we pray and hope for over our girl. So many of you have loved and given and bought T-shirt’s and prayed. Thank you. I can’t wait for the rest of this story to unfold. We’d love prayers for the next few steps to go surprisingly fast as the first steps went by... unexpectedly slow. Yet now that we know who she is and see what had to be set in place for us to be “matched” with her, the waiting all seems purposeful and worth it. And isn’t that how He works, weaving all things for good?

To our little brave girl, radiant with light, we are coming for you as fast as we can. We won’t leave any stone unturned and until then we pray and stare at your pictures and watch your videos every day. You are so loved. Though you have known sorrow and grief at your young age that I’ll never fully comprehend, we call you daughter and we will fight for you and run with you and laugh with you and love you all of your days. #bringingbravepaulrajhome
