…Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20

Faith is one of, if not, the biggest virtue we have relied on in our family's journey through adoption. We were reminded countless times of God's faithfulness, His goodness, His miracles, and His grace. Time and time again we see examples of God using very little in order to do very much. Two fish and five loaves of bread fed a multitude of people, with an abundance to spare. A widow, with only two mites, gave all she had…What many saw as nothing, Christ saw as everything! How about David, the smallest of his brothers, used to destroy the Philistine giant, Goliath.

So here we are…what once was a small dream, God saw as much more. He called us, He chose us, He predestined us for this…for adoption…for special needs adoption. What we saw as very small, years ago, we now see as miraculous, awe inspiring, and wholeheartedly humbling.

In 2013 we opened our hearts and home to a third child, by way of adoption. We said yes to a baby girl with Down syndrome and our lives were forever changed. We have added two more, equally as incredible, girls to our family since. One in November 2016 and another in June 2017.

This was it, this was our calling…God had, specifically, given us the desire to pursue and parent children with Down syndrome…or so we thought. November 2017 God brought us to a place we never expected, a journey we didn't see coming until later. We were given the chance to, temporarily, love and care for a precious baby boy with extensive medical needs. Many of his needs turned out to be similar to the needs of our other three girls. We happily accepted him and began giving him the care he had not been receiving, prior. He began showing signs that he was engaging, he smiled, cooed, and gained strength. Our love for him was genuine and our purpose was to get him to the best place possible for his forever family.

Just like many of Christ's miracles, the ending isn't what we saw coming; but it was what He had planned all along. This sweet boy didn't have families lining up, he had us, and God made it perfectly clear that we were meant to be his forever family. Our yes was there; but after two recent adoption placement fees there's no way we can afford the fees associated with this sweet boy…OUR BOY!

Here is where our mustard seed faith comes in; but who are we kidding…we no longer have mustard seed sized faith. Our faith has growth exponentially these last four years and we know God will fund what He favors.

Do you want to see your faith grow? Do you want to ask God to move a mountain? Please consider supporting us. Watch God change this little life into a great big testimony for His glory. Will you be part of our son's story?
