We are on an adventure- expanding our family and pursuing the adoption of 2 young kids from Uganda. This is no small deal and there are a lot of hurdles we will have to overcome (we figure that doing anything significant in life comes with some element of risk and adversity), and this is the start of it. Adoption is expensive. While we have the financial ability to care for the regular, month-to-month expenses of 2 additional children, we do not have an extra $45k in the bank to cover the cost of the adoption. We are hoping to do this debt free, and since many of our friends and family have expressed a desire to contribute to the adoption financially we are very excited to be partnering with AdoptTogether to make your gifts tax-deductible.
