Having experienced the profound joy of welcoming our first child through adoption, our hearts are calling us to expand our family further. We dream of giving our child the incredible gift of a sibling, someone to share life's journey with.
Witnessing the joy and love our first child has brought into our lives has been the greatest gift, but we also hope to give him a companion both in life and in his adoption story. We believe that this shared experience paired with the unique bond between siblings is something truly special, and we are eager to provide that for, not only our son, but another child as well.
However, while this desire is strong and important to us, we are also realistic about the significant financial commitment that comes with adoption, a reality we've faced before. The emotional and financial realities of adoption can be overwhelming, a stark contrast to the often idealized image. Our first journey in adoption included a failed adoption accumulating a $10,000 expense in addition to the $45,000 expense to adopt our son.
In order to fund this expense, we took out a loan, which created a financial strain on our family in a time that we hoped would be filled with joy and happiness. As we embark on this second adoption journey, we are mindful of these substantial costs.
We are reaching out to our community with hope. Your support will help us navigate the financial strain of this second adoption, bringing us closer to our dream of giving our child a sibling and completing our family.
