We have a daughter on the other side of the world, and we want to ask for your help in bringing her home. We always knew adoption would be in our future even back when we were dating and newly married and we are so thrilled the time has finally come! After many, many months of waiting (and mountains of paperwork), we finally received a match! Her name is Sophie. She is 14 months old, lives in China, and she has our hearts completely. Sophie has a serious heart condition that will require open-heart surgery once we bring her home. In spite of her extra needs, she is well loved by her caretakers, and she has an infectious smile. We are so eager to scoop her up! This is a critical point for adoption costs; since we expect to travel in early summer with our two biological girls, Piper (4) and Nora (2), we hope to raise $40,000 in the next 3 months (by the end of June). These funds will go toward agency fees, orphanage fees, and travel costs for our family as well as for our amazing friends Scott & Olivia who have volunteered to come along and help us out. We are so honored that you&'ve taken time to consider helping us, and we are humbled by even the smallest act of generosity.
