When Steve and I got engaged we began praying about what our family would look like. As much as we love and enjoy our adult children Zach (23) and Sara (18), we really wanted more children. We asked God to give us kids, but also trusted Him in His deliverance of those kids. Whether it be the natural way or through adoption, etc. We have continued to pray God''s will over the size and type of family that we have. Well, sometimes I think God has the best sense of humor. He has presented us with a sibling group of 5. Yes 5. We said yes. When you ask God's will, then I guess you have to trust the path he places in front of you. Are we crazy? Yes! Can we do this? Not without God! But what I do know is that if we keep our eyes on God, he will give us what we need to do this for Him and give Him all the glory. The children's maternal grandmother has been a friend of Teressa's for over 30 years. Teressa has known the birth mom since she was a little girl. The children have been in foster care and the birth parent will be losing their parental rights. We hope to foster the children until they are free to adopt. They will maintain a relationship with all of their biological mom's family. The children are from the west coast, but us and the Grandmother live on the east coast. We have run into a lot of red tape moving the children from state to state and it has caused our adoption to be complicated and very expensive. Because of the complications we are being required to temporarily (up to 6 months) move to the west coast to be with the kids until we can adopt them.
