UPDATE: We are almost to the point of traveling with Henry to the American consulate and then home to America where Henry will officially become an American citizen! We have many remaining travel expenses and would appreciate your help! Hi! We are Bob and Molly Midgette. One of the very first conversations we had before marrying was focused on our openness to adoption. At the time, as we do now, we lived in China and were daily exposed to the very real needs of orphans. We have now been married for 7 years and have two children, Penelope (5) and David (2). In March we formally started the adoption process and by May we had been matched with the little boy we have named Henry James. Henry, now 19 months old, has a cleft lip (repaired) and cleft palate. We anticipate him joining our family within the year. And so you may ask, how has God led us to the decision to adopt? Without question He has confirmed this calling on our family through His leading, confirmation ten times over, and the support of His people. But more powerful than any of these pieces of our puzzle, is the overwhelming sense we have of God's love for us and His love for the very least among us. We believe that through this adoption, His leading and provision, the Lord has and will continue to display His glory. We look forward to the privilege of loving Henry as our very own son and telling him that he is loved by his Creator. It is with this love, the love of our Father, that we began this journey and will continue on it. Would you prayerfully consider joining us on this journey to bring Henry home through a financial gift? With sincere appreciation and gratitude, Bob, Molly, Penelope, and David
