Dear Friends and Family, I&'m overjoyed to tell you about my precious little girl waiting in an orphanage in Shaanxi, China. She&'s 3 years old with post operative repaired Meningocele. She doesn&'t know yet that she has a family across the globe who already love her and pray for her constantly. She&'ll likely be almost 4 years old when she arrives home. That&'s too long to spend without a family to call her own. Her file says she really wants to be cuddled a lot when she&'s sad. Orphanages are short staffed so children never seem to be able to get all the affection and attention they crave so desperately, even though the nannies try. This little one needs her mommy to rock and cuddle her. There are so many who need the love and nurturing of a family and a home to call their own. I can&'t adopt them all, but I have seen the difference in the life of my little Kaylee and my heart longs to be that much needed family for this child as well. I&'ve decided to name her Mia Lin. And oh how we miss her and adore her though we&'ve never met her. I&'m often asked by parents hoping to adopt, "How can people possibly afford it?" There are tax credits, grants, fund raisers, and loans. But it&'s many times possible because of a lot of people coming together to give whatever they can and feel led to in order to literally change a life.
