is adopting a child from Uganda

3 years ago I took my first mission trip to Uganda. One day I was in a mud-hut village and saw a little girl with a mat rolled out, meaning "welcome". She said, "Musumba, please sit". She made me rice, chicken, and tea in a pink cup. After I sat down she said, "Musumba, you pray". I asked God to bless the food and this precious little girl. A week later she came with me to visit other church plants. When we would be walking through the bush she would often hold my hand. It was then God gave me a vision. I saw Shakirah no longer 9, but in her 20s. She was walking through Africa translating for me as we spread The Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this vision I knew that my wife & I had adopted her and she grew up in Texas with us and our 5 children. Since I was new to having visions I was reluctant to know if this was really what I was seeing. As soon as the vision stopped, my friend from Nigeria spoke it out loud! What? I saw it and he spoke it right when it was over! I knew then that God had answered that prayer over that small meal, "Lord, bless this precious little girl." HE wanted to do that by having my family adopt her and bring her home to Texas. This journey, as you may know, takes prayer, perseverance and resources. My wife, children, Shakirah, and I are in need of prayers & resources. If you are moved by this story, it is our prayer you give so we can bring this precious little girl home to Texas. We love & thank each of you ahead of time! What a wonderful thing to be a part of! God Bless you! For updates see our blog: http://www.adoptshakirah.blogspot.com/.
