On July 2,2013, we drove to SF airport to pick up our teen host kids, a sibling set of 2. Everything was in place. Contacts to find them a Forever family. After a long drive and waiting,we finally saw them.I was unprepared. The moment I laid my eyes on them, I was greeting OUR son and daughter. They were imprinted onto my heart instantly. BOOM! And onto our children&'s hearts when they met the next morning. One week later, my husband admitted to feeling the same way.Two days after arrival, T informed us, she wanted to be independent and did not want to be part of any family. Neither did her brother. Already they had turned down 3 families! They traveled to America for the cultural experience. After a few weeks, she was inseparable from all of us. A however, was not interested in a family.Yet. After all, they had lost their mother at a young age. Hopefully, he asked to return for Christmas. So for her senior highschool project, our daughter fundraised to bring T&A back for Christmas 2013/14. She succeeded and we enjoyed an unforgettable Christmas with them. This time, A was anxious to become a member of our family.T&A were transferred to the Black Sea region after a nighttime bombing near their orphanage, first to a summercamp, consequently transferred, again, to an orphanage in the same area. With Ukraine&'s volatile situation,it is urgent we get them out before the government prevents any adoptions there. As teens, time is running out for them. Both T&A are anxious to leave the orphanage and ready to be a permanent part of our family. We are so grateful for your gifts of love and covet your prayers and decrees. God bless you. http://www.gift-of-family.org/
