Our adoption journey started in December 2008, when we lived in Denver, had no biological children, and had a wonderful adoption agency, CCAI, literally in our neighborhood! We felt adoption was something we could do, and wanted to do, and very promptly began the application process for a young, healthy Chinese girl. Fast forward six years, two biological children, and five residences later, and we still felt an urge to adopt, though we had spent six years waiting for a match. This time, our criteria was different. We were open to a child with special needs, and we also wanted a boy to add to our house full of boys. In mid 2014, we spent six months updating paperwork, paying more fees, and submitting medical checklists for agency review. In early 2015, we received a match with a two year old boy who has extensive gastrointestinal needs, and has endured multiple surgeries, one of which included a full reconstruction. He is currently healthy and physically able, though he may require long term care for his condition. After our long, and arduous process, we were both shocked and elated about the speed with which we received a referral. We will likely travel to China by June 2015, and while we are so excited to bring our new little boy home, we are in need of financial support to cover the remainder of the costs to get him in the United States. Would you please prayerfully consider donating to help us raise the remaining $15,000 we need to cover these expenses, and to get our little guy home as soon as possible? Thanks in advance for your consideration. With Love, Zach, Beth, Luke, and Drew Huffman
