To get to know us– we are both teachers at a deaf school & during our free time, we love to help out with the Austin Pets Alive rescue organization. We have fostered 30+ dogs since moving to Austin 5 years ago. There&'s just something about opening our home to a being that warms our souls. So, we turned to the idea of what we had understood with our 3 awesome dogs – adopting! At first we saw the total amount that it would require to make all of this work and felt truly deflated. After getting in touch with Heartsent Adoption and learning more, we felt encouraged that there are good souls in this world who would help us reach our goal of bringing a child home. From that point, we started looking into details & decided that we would be adopting a deaf child from China. We created this page simply because friends & families have asked us how they can donate tax-deductible gifts towards our adoption. We have already taken care of some of the costs through personal savings and fundraising, but there are significant costs remaining. We are truly grateful for your support & love. We have never been more excited!
