Amarilee & Justin T.

are adopting a child from United States of America

Justin and I have been married for 7 years and have a beautiful, smart, independent and outspoken 3 year old. We also have a fluffy and lovable gentle giant named Oakley. He is a Great Pyrenees who loves lounging, hates thunder and is scared of a paper bag lol. I am a registered nurse who love working with people and have a nurturing personality. Justin is in Finance and is a wiz with numbers and excel sheets. He even made a spreadsheet for our first trip together with a timeline and pre picked restaurants and sites to see :)!

We’ve always dreamed of having a big family, coming from 2 big families ourselves. We picture Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, and random Tuesdays sitting around the dinner table filled with noise, laughter, stories, and adventures. We want our daughter Sophia to grow up with the joy of sibling bonds.

Unfortunately, we have experienced many years of infertility and IVF cycles. Early in our marriage we experienced a miscarriage followed by two ectopic pregnancies where I lost both of my fallopian tubes. We then began our IVF journey and had 2 frozen embryo transfers that resulted in chemical pregnancies. On our third attempt we were blessed with our beautiful daughter Sophia who is 3 years old now. After we had Sophia we continued to try to grow our family. We then had two failed frozen embryo transfers and 2 canceled cycles due to my uterine lining. Our last FET resulted in a positive pregnancy. Unfortunately, at 20 weeks I had a dilated cervix and had to get a cerclage to close it up. At 21 weeks, I went into early labor and lost our son due to chorioamnionitis.

Justin and I have had a long and hard road in our pursuit to become parents and have the large and loving family we always dreamed of. This journey has made us stronger as a couple and a family, and all we really want is the opportunity to share the love and happiness we experience everyday within our family.

IVF has not only been a physical and emotional hardship but it has also taken a huge financial toll on us. We’ve been through an IUI cycle, an Egg retrieval, storage of embryos and 8 FET cycles. We have put our lives on hold on and off for the past 6 years due to everything that IVF involves.

We would be blessed to be able to provide love, stability and comfort for a child who needs it. We are hoping that with your support, we can achieve our goals and provide a baby in need with the most precious gift, family.
