Amber Schindeldecker

is adopting a child from United States of America

Welcome to Amber's Adoption Adventure!

I am a 40-year-old educated, professional and successful woman who is seeking to become a single mother by choice through open domestic infant adoption.

I started #AmbersAdoptionAdventure after an unsuccessful six-year biological journey to have a child of my own. In the end, I realized that it doesn’t matter whether I give birth myself or I get a placement call from the adoption agency. The feeling will be the same when I bring a child home.

I encourage friends and family (and strangers, too) to stay updated on this next chapter of my journey to motherhood. Get vocal! Share my story! Let the world know how incredibly loved any child would be in my home and in my heart.

I am doing everything I can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into my home. As part of my adoption journey, I have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can total between $25,000 to $50,000 or more. This is why I have set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

I hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the larger village of support I am building for my child as they grow up.

Love and light to you all,
Amber
