Written by a close friend: Chris and Amy are two incredibly passionate individuals whom I admire for their strength and determination to grow their family. As close friends of Chris and Amy, I am writing this through prayer and hope that you will consider donating to this incredible family as they prepare to bring home the addition to their family they have been waiting years for. Chris and Amy brought their beautiful daughter, Lily into this world several short years ago. Since then, they have suffered many losses and heartbreaks by putting to rest three of their own children. There is an old saying, "A parent should never have to bury their own child," but why has this couple had to say goodbye to three of their own? Why has a young girl had to experience the loss of three of her siblings? Chris and Amy have a strong Faith and a marriage that has withstood heartache. Through MONTHS of paperwork, a home study, more paperwork, ups and downs, Chris and Amy have been selected as a match! As I comprehended the news Amy shared with me, I became overwhelmed with emotion FOR THEM! God has answered so many prayers for this family. Their missing piece is finally being put into place, Lily is going to be a big sister (an amazing one at that!), and Chris and Amy will have the family they have been praying years for. Chris and Amy are far too humbled to reach out for financial assistance, and as their friend, I know this is what needs to happen. Adoption fees are more than a new car (this is something I had no idea about). Due to the quick turn around on our friends being matched as adoptive parents, they need to come up with a large sum of money rather quickly.
