In 2013 & 2014 we had back to back adoptions as we brought home Chengbin & Laila, two awesome additions to our family that have a severe medical need called beta thalassemia major. In China this is often a death sentence for an orphan with few to advocate for them, but we watched God and proper medical care transform them!! In April, Fannie headed back to China to help advocate for waiting children, particularly those with thalassemia. Upon arrival back to the states we felt God showing us it was time to bring home another child with this medical need. We have room in our house and in our hearts to bring home the brother that Chengbin has prayed for. And while we have room in our hearts and home, we do not have enough in our bank account to fully pay for our 3rd adoption in 3 years. We are hoping to fundraise his orphanage donation & provincial fees which should be just below $8,000.
