In April of 2011, we sat in church one Sunday as newlyweds, not realizing that our lives were about to change in a big way. Our pastor gave a message that day on God&'s heart for orphans (James 1:27), and we both felt the Lord&'s calling on us to one day adopt and provide a loving, Christian home for a child in need. (Matthew 18:5). Over three years later, after a lot of prayer and an equal amount of paperwork, we are excited to share with our friends and family that our home study is complete, and we are in the waiting stage of the process. This means that expectant parents could choose our family at any time, and then we&'ll be bringing home baby Travis or baby Audrey! The saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." In our case, it will take a village just to bring our child home. We hope you will consider coming alongside us in support of our adoption journey through prayer and/or financial support. All donations are tax deductible and will be sent directly from AdoptTogether to our adoption agency (Bethany Christian Services). The donations will help with the extensive adoption expenses (totaling $25,700), which include items such as attorney and social worker fees.
