Rachel Arnold

is adopting a child

We have BIG news!

We are adopting a child!

As some of you may know, I (Rachel) have wanted to adopt a child since I was about 14-years-old. To me, adoption was a matter of when, instead of if. Matt and I began talking about growing our family about 2 years ago. In the last few months, we discovered that we are one of the many couples who will probably not be able to have a child biologically. Immediately, Matt brought up adopting a baby. As we discussed and prayed about adopting a baby, all we felt was peace and excitement about this possibility! We began talking to Christian Adoption Consultations (CAC) to pursue a domestic infant adoption. CAC will connect us with multiple adoption agencies, prepare us, and walk us through the complex world of adoption from beginning to end. We love CAC because our shared goal is to bring a baby into our home 100% ethically!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to at least $35,000, and is often much more when costs such as travel are added in. This is why we have set a goal of $45,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. We appreciate all of your love and support!

Thank you!
