We have BIG news: we are adopting a second child from China!
All of us are very excited and are doing everything we can to prepare to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. Our first adoption process went very well, and we are ready to welcome a little boy into our family. (Judah is quite ready to have a brother.)
As you may expect, the current circumstances are a big unknown right now, and we’ve already needed to make some adjustments from the last adoption process. Still, everything is proceeding as best as we can, being flexible where needed; and we look forward to completing our paperwork soon.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign to help with our financial costs. Adoption related costs are projecting to total up to $35,000. This is why we have set a goal of $18,000 through this fundraiser to directly help with our agency and related fees. On top of this, we will likely need about $14,000 in cash to help with direct payments, fees, and travel related expenses with entities outside of our agency.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will continue to see yourself as part of the community we build around this child and our other children as they grow. We look forward to sharing this journey with you, especially since we don’t have the opportunity to share in person right now.
