We are thrilled to share that after many years of longing and hoping, we are beginning the next chapter of our journey to grow our family through adoption. While our hearts are filled with anticipation and excitement, we are also mindful of the complex emotions surrounding this process. We understand that in order for us to experience the joy of becoming parents, another family is navigating their own journey of grief and loss. We hold deep respect and gratitude for their selfless decision and the incredible gift they will be giving us.
It’s difficult to fully express the journey that has brought us to this point, but we want to start by praising God for His unwavering goodness and grace.
As many of you know, we have dreamed of being parents for over 8 years. The journey has been long and filled with heartache as we have longed deeply for the day we could call a baby our own. By God’s grace and through the support of our community—who have prayed for us, cried with us, encouraged us, and pointed us to Jesus—we have come to know our perfect Heavenly Father more intimately through this journey. We recognize that in our fallen and imperfect world, things like sin, death, and infertility exist. Yet, we also serve a miracle-working God who is working all things for good, even when we can’t see it. And if nothing else good came out of this heartache, we are so grateful that we have learned how to praise God through the storms.
Through the valley, God has grown and stretched us, calling us to expand our family through the beautiful process of adoption. We know this is a significant and costly decision, and we anticipate many challenges along the way.
BUT GOD.
He is already leading us, opening doors, and sending people to support us as we embark on this journey. He provides a way when it feels like there is no way.
Our hearts are still grieved that our journey to parenthood hasn't been easy and we're still overwhelmed with the complexity of the adoption process. But through the tears and uncertainty, we have decided that, above all else, we want to be parents and step out in obedience to answer this call.
We look forward to sharing this journey with you and welcoming a new member into our family, knowing that we have the best community to welcome them with open arms.
“Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
To God be the glory forever and ever.
