Hello! We are Zach and Carli. We love to be outside in the midst of God's wonderful creation. We have been married for three years and always knew we would adopt. It was after two years of unexplained infertility that we felt God calling us to adopt now. We decided to embark on this uncertain and beautiful journey beginning in January 2016. Zach and I quickly began to plan fundraisers, yard sales, craft shows, etc. and felt confident that we were gaining momentum. Then God answered our prayers much earlier than anticipated! On July 22, 2016 we received a call from one of our agencies stating, "A baby girl was born today. If you are interested we can move forward." Of course there was no question in our minds - we knew this was the baby God had intended for us. We met Remington 'Remi' on July 23rd and she was discharged to us the next day. We have been learning to be first time parents ever since. With the "stork drop" phone call, we had no time to make a last "rally cry" for fundraising. We had already raised about a third of what we needed to cover Remi's fees. Then after using most of our savings, we decided to take out a loan for the remainder. We are so incredibly humbled each and every time we look at our sweet baby girl because God mercifully placed her into our family through His perfect design. While Zach works, I typically stay with him. However, through this finalization process I'm required to stay at our Pennsylvania residence away from Zach and removed from our community that we have grown to love over the past couple years. Although it's a blessing that I'm able to stay with family in PA, it's difficult to adjust to being first time parents while also dealing with the physical distance from my spouse. Our family is currently going through big life changes, and it's not without challenges, so we are asking for your help in these specific ways: 1. Pray for God's provision and faithfulness to help us expediently pay off Remi's adoption fees. If you'd like to make a financial gift, all gifts will be 100% tax deductible. 2. Pray for God to bind our marriage. We don't want to lose sight of God's goodness and the blessings He has entrusted us with through this time of geographic separation. We appreciate you taking the time to learn our story. Thank you for joining us in this journey through your prayers and financial gifts as God builds our family through adoption. God bless you, in Jesus' name. With all of our love, Zach & Carl
