Cody and I are thrilled to announce that we're opening our hearts to a baby through adoption! We were drawn to adoption after Ashley was diagnosed with a genetic, connective tissue disease. Although Ashley is not really affected by the disease, we have decided that is simply another reason to grow our family through adoption.
Although we have not matched with a birth mom, we are working hard to complete all of the necessary paperwork and home study process. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. We do not take this lightly to be asking so many people to contribute. We are so thankful that God has provided us with the means to care for a child’s daily and even future needs, but in reality there is a substantial amount of money needed to bring our child home — approximately $30-40,000. We hope to apply for grants and tax credits for portions of these costs but we cannot even begin this process until our pricey home study is complete. It's not easy to ask for assistance in this adventure but we hope that you know your support will be going towards a dream come true.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
