When we married almost ten years ago, we saw the great display of the gospel that adoption provided to each of us through the work of Christ. So, it was plain to us and we knew adoption would be an awesome tool to show the good news of gospel to our families and friends, to our future children and to the world. We always knew we would adopt, not as a last resort, but as a great way to grow our family. However, we never expected that the Lord would determine that adoption would come first. What sweet sorrows we've endured during this journey, learning along the way to trust the sovereign hand of our Savior, learning to pray more fervently than we ever had to, and learning to drink from a bitter cup with hope and joy. We have grown tremendously during our journey to adopt, but honestly, as we look back on the work of the Lord in our lives, we can say with full conviction that His timing is perfect and that His plan sure. We look forward to seeing His plan unfold. And if you are reading this, then it means that our long journey of faith is coming to a close. It means that in just a little while (but almost too quickly for us to process) we will have a small person to call our own. We want to thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity toward us. The Lord has been so good and gracious to us. He has encouraged us and shown the great measure of His love for us through you, our faithful friends and family. We could never repay your kindness to us, but in the least, we want you to know that we love you and we thank you for helping baby O to finally come home.
