We are adopting a child!
I have been post menopausal since I was 18 due to 15 radiation treatments, to try to shrink a non cancerous tumor. I cant have any kids, I dont have eggs and the tumor could kill me if I became pregnant even if I wasnt post menopausal. So we decided to adopt! I was adopted at 3 months and I really would love to give back to the world since I was so blessed with an amazing family and life. I really would like to help out a birth mom and adopt her baby, as well as being able to get to experience the wonderful joys and challenges of being a parent.
We have had to spend a lot of money on bills, and health bill/ insurance, so we have been struggling trying to figure out how to make our dreams a reality of adopting and becoming parents. Its all we really want out of life is to become parents to a beautiful boy or girl!
We are beyond excited to start the process and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of [46,000] to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
