I have BIG news!
I am adopting a child! This has been in my thoughts for a couple of years and I'm finally taking the leap. I have a big heart and I want to share it with a child.
I am beyond excited and am doing everything I can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into my home. As part of my adoption process, I have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why I have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
Here is a list of future expenses:
Placement fee: $17,500
Lawyer fee: $1,500
Travel: Flights (aprox $1900) and 14 days room and board.(Depending on where the child is born.)
In addition to fundraising I will be applying for adoption grants.
