We're excited to announce that we're growing our family through domestic infant adoption!
Our journey to growing our family has been difficult, but through it all, God has been growing our heart for adoption. We're excited to take this next step in our journey, believing that God already knows the children he's planning to add to our home.
Domestic infant adoption can cost anywhere from 30,000-50,000 dollars. This covers the medical costs, living expenses, and counseling for the birth mother, as well as the agency and legal fees. Once our home study is complete, we'll be able to apply for grants and zero-interest loans to help cover some of this cost, but we also want to invite our friends and family to join us in the journey of bringing Baby Lee home.
So here is how you can help :)
We have a white, 1000-piece puzzle that we're getting ready to assemble. (If you're a puzzle person, feel free to help!) Each puzzle piece can be sponsored for $20. So, for every $20 donation to our adoption fund, we'll set aside one puzzle piece for you. If you're living nearby, you can come over and write your name and message on your puzzle piece(s), and if you're far away, we can do it for you. In the end, we're planning on framing the puzzle and hanging it in Baby Lee's nursery as a constant reminder to us and Baby Lee of all the people who love him/her and came together to bring him/her home!
When we think about all the costs of adoption, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. But we're trusting in God's plan, and are looking forward to the surprising and sweet ways that he provides for this journey.
