From the outside, our story may seem like a sad one. Years of trying to get pregnant but unable to do so. Finally getting pregnant, only to lose our our baby girl to a rare genetic disorder. True, we have had our fair share of hard times and heartache, but we've also had our share of joys and bright lights along the way. One very bright, shining light in particular. After many years of working with doctors to overcome infertility struggles, and before the loss of our daughter, we became a family…through adoption. That handsome, smiling face in our picture belongs to our son, Joshua Lucas. We had no idea, when we brought home that week old baby boy, how our lives would be dramatically changed and enriched to a degree far beyond our wildest imagination. The love and joy we experience every day through the life of our son is far greater than the struggles we have gone through up to this point. So, here we are, seeking to add more love and joy to our family, and we once again turn to adoption as the way to not only become parents again, but to give Joshua a little brother or sister. We are so excited at the thought of seeing our son turn into the world's greatest big brother! We know that God is calling us to open our hearts and home to another precious life and we trust that He is going to provide. That's where you all - friends, family and even strangers - come in to the story. We are inviting you to be God's instruments in our lives.
