I started my journey to adoption about two years ago after attending a conference. I am a Christian woman and as my faith has grown, I felt a strong desire to adopt. At first, I wasnâä‰åä‹¢t sure where I should adopt from but I have done medical missions in Africa and knew I felt drawn to adopt a child from Africa. The time I have spent in Africa changed my life and I am forever grateful. I spent time in prayer and did some research and that is when I decided that I would like to create my family by adopting from DRC. My family and friends are very supportive of my plans to adopt. I come from a very diverse family and grew up in a home where family consisted of both biologic and non-biologic members. I feel that this has prepared not only me to adopt but my family. My family is a very loving Christian family and will provide a nurturing environment for an adopted child. James 1:27, John 14:18
