We have decided, with the help from God, to adopt from Ethiopia. We started seriously considering adoption in June 2014 and on Oct. 20, 2014 made it official with a pre-application to our adoption agency. Since then we filled out binders full of paperwork, notarized dozens of copies, and put together some very blessed fundraisers to help us bring our little bundle home. Our paperwork/application was received, reviewed, and accepted and now we wait patiently for a referral of a child or children (we would love siblings) that the agency and orphanage believes would fit well into our family. We are currently on five different waiting lists (siblings, infant girl, infant boy, toddler girl, toddler boy) and are in the middle of the pack for all of them. We were recently updated on our approximate wait time and we unfortunately have another 18+ months to go before we get a referral and then it takes another 8-10 months to bring them home! There is so much of this process that has been blessed by God and we know He will continue to guide our paths.
