are adopting a child from United States of America

We have big news! We are adopting! :) We hope you will be blessed by our story and join us in prayer as we embark on this new, lifelong adventure.

We are beyond excited and taking very practical steps to save money, work side jobs, and eliminate expenses we don't need for adoption-related costs. While we take these steps, we also recognize that some people show their love by giving gifts, so we wanted to make it possible for you to make a tax-deductible gift to help fund our adoption - if you feel led to do so. Mainly, we wanted to share our story with you so you can pray for us and learn more about our hearts.

Adoption begins with trauma, and as much as we would love for biological children to be raised by their biological families, we know that isn't always possible. As followers of Jesus, we believe that God has a beautiful plan for every human, from babies in the womb to adults to seniors. We also know that we live in a broken world that needs a Savior. God doesn't create broken families, He restores them, and it is our job to care for one another. We would be honored to be chosen as adoptive parents to love these birth families and children.

Before TC and I were married, we talked about pursuing adoption to extend our family and provide a safe and loving home for those in need. After we were married in 2017, we struggled with infertility. In 2018, we began pursuing IVF but then changed directions. We knew God was calling us to foster and adopt. After several surgeries, I had a total hysterectomy in 2020. We were at complete peace with the surgery and knew that it was not the final chapter of growing our family. Instead, it was just a step in our journey to follow God's calling for us.

In the fall of 2020, we were approved to foster children as well as adopt. After serving children in foster care with the goal of reunification, we are now pursuing private adoption. We believe anyone who chooses adoption for their child is an act of immense courage and love amid sorrows and struggles. We don’t take it lightly, and it’s a high honor to be chosen as adoptive parents.

Choosing to be a parent is a lifelong responsibility and commitment. We don't believe parenting ends once our child turns 18 or 21, but rather, we will be their parents for all eternity and love them forever, just as the love of their birth parents will continue forever. We will also raise our children to know they are adopted while honoring, respecting, and loving their birth parents and heritage.

As Christians, the Bible calls us love others like Jesus by laying down our lives for one another. Not everyone is able to adopt, so we ask that you join us by praying for these children and their birth families.

If you feel led to make a tax-deductible donation to our adoption fund, we will post updates on exactly how the money is used, like paying for the birth mother's medical bills, housing, prenatal care, or paying legal fees, and more.

Thank you for hearing about what the Lord has done in our lives, and we hope you will join us on this great calling from God to care for those in need around us!

Much love, Anne & TC

    WILD UPDATES!

    November 5, 2023

Hey hey, everyone! Thank you soo much for your incredible support and love for us on our adoption journey. After our last update, we had a failed adoption - the bio family decided to parent their baby girl. We were completely devastated and heartbroken, but we allowed ourselves to grieve and keep our hearts open to what God had in store. His plan is best, and in all things, we completely trust in Him and His perfect timing. We continue to pray for baby girl and her family that they thrive together!

Sure enough, exactly one month after our failed adoption on August 29 (my birthday), our SON WAS BORN on September 29! We received a call at 8 p.m. on September 28 saying that we had been chosen by an expectant birth mama to adopt her son. They said we needed to fly out ASAP since he was being born the very next day.

It was a whirlwind getting everything booked and planned that night, but God made it happen! We flew out to Utah at 12:30 p.m. the next day, and we were able to meet our son about 30-45 mins after he was born! SUCH AN INCREDIBLE BLESSING!

We got to meet his birth mama and signed paperwork on September 30 (my mom's birthday). We absolutely LOVE his birth mama to pieces, and it was a joy to meet her and spend time with her to begin our lifelong relationship!

Our son is named Elijah Anthony (Anthony was chosen by his birth mama). He is just the best gift we have ever been given (second to having a relationship with Jesus)!

Elijah was in the NICU for 21 days due to health issues, and so we lived in a hotel for almost a month. We certainly had a lot of unplanned expenses, but we are continuing to trust God to provide.

We are home now and loving every single second with our baby boy! He is exactly who we have been waiting to meet, and it is an honor that his birth mama picked us to be his parents.

Thank you so much for helping to make it possible for us to bring him home. We appreciate any and all support with his added expenses.

    With all our love,
    Anne, TC & Elijah

    We have been PICKED!

    August 23, 2023

A potential birth mom and birth dad have selected us to be adoptive parents for their little baby girl, due next week! :) She might actually be born on my birthday, Tuesday, August 29!

We are over the moon, excited, and in love with this family already! We had the honor of meeting with the mom and dad on a Zoom call, and they simply radiate love! We love them so much and are excited to be chosen to be on this life-long journey with them. :)

Please keep us all in your prayers as we take these next steps! We fly out to Nevada on Saturday, and if they continue to choose us to be adoptive parents, it will become legal on Thursday or Friday.

We love you all, and thank you so much for your kindness and support for us on this special journey!

    Adoption Update

    May 5, 2023

Hi friends! Thank you so much for your support and prayers for us on our adoption journey.

We wanted to tell you about several cool features of using Adopt Together for donations. Any donations to our Adopt Together account are tax-deductible for you and not accessible by us. Instead, once we are chosen to be adoptive parents, the funds are sent directly to the adoption agency to cover the adoption costs.

At this point, we are still waiting to be chosen as adoptive parents as our profile is shown to expectant mamas/families choosing adoption. :)

Thank you for continuing to pray and support us on this journey! We are beyond blessed by your love!

    Much love,
    TC & Anne

    Paperwork Completed! :)

    September 19, 2022

Hi everyone! We wanted to give you an update on our adoption journey. :) Over the last few months, we had multiple background checks and local, state, and national approvals to adopt. We also had our homestudy revised and our profile book created. After completing mounds and mounds of paperwork, we are now officially active! :) Praise God!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support as God leads us on this special journey! We trust Him and praise Him for bringing restoration out of brokenness for everyone involved - birth families, babies, and us, as future adoptive parents.

We will keep you updated as our journey continues. :)

    Much love,
    Anne & TC
