After 3.5 years, we are SO close to finally bring home a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to save and raise the rest of the money we need! We have been preparing like crazy to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign.
It may surprise you to hear that the typical adoption situations we receive are usually $45,000-$58,000 or more, which doesn't even cover the cost of any travel-related expenses (last minute flights, lodging for the 2+ weeks required to stay in the state before coming home, etc.) that will likely occur.
We have spend the last 3 years saving what we can and we are also in the process of some fun online adoption auction fundraising, but we are afraid we will miss out on matching with a specific situation we've been presented with if we don't come up with the full amount needed quickly. Over these 3.5 years, we have dealt with scams, lies, disappointment and one heartbreaking failed match. We are ready to fill that hole in our hearts.
