UPDATE: THE HOME STRETCH!!!! Lucas George Bennett was born on September 23, 2014. (He and Amy share a birthday…how cool is that??!!) He was born a tad early and a bit small with some withdrawal issues to overcome…but he has faced them like a champ. We have a little fighter on our hands! Our gorgeous baby boy is a full biological sibling to our previously adopted children…and it sure is obvious! He is a dark-haired charmer! The interstate process was accomplished far more speedily than expected and we have been able to be at home with Lucas for the majority of the last three months. In fact, we have enjoyed a very blessed adoption journey. From expert legal counsel…to incredibly competent and compassionate medical professionals….to extravagant generosity of friends and family…this adoption story is spangled with joy even in the struggles. We still have some financial challenges before completion of the adoption, but we are definitely in the HOME STRETCH!
