The Whites are adopting a child!
The heartbeat of our adoption is grounded in 1 Peter 2:9 which says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
We desire to “be the light” for an expectant momma/family as she chooses adoption for her child. We want to love her well and share the gospel with her. At the same time, we also want to bring a baby out of the darkness of an orphan situation into the marvelous light of being chosen and adopted. We believe adoption is an amazing, beautiful reflection of the gospel and how the Lord called each of us out of the darkness when He adopted us into His family eternally.
We know that as believers, we are all called to care for those that cannot care for themselves (James 1:27). Of course, we know that will look different for each person. We know that our family is called to be the hands and feet of Jesus by actually bringing a child into our family through gospel-centered adoption. However, there are other believers that are called to support adoption through their generosity by giving their time, talent, and/or money.
The idea of fundraising is completely out of our comfort zone; however, adoption can be really expensive with an average cost of around $30,000+. We want to provide a way for our family, friends, and community to care for the orphan and bring home baby White through a variety of fundraisers and donations.
Please prayerfully consider how the Lord is calling you to support us as we move through the adoption process. We appreciate all of your prayers and support!
