We have BIG news! We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to prepare to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. Through the years of infertility and heartache, we still chose to trust that God was in complete control and wanted nothing less than His will for our family. So here we are! Although our hearts are ready, adoption can be costly. We have completed our home study and are waiting to be matched with a birth mom in the United States, but we are at the point where we need to raise funds for our adoption. We humbly ask for your support.
For anyone who knows about adoption, it is not an inexpensive process. We have been saving, selling items, and tightening our budget to reach our goal. We still need to raise funds to help cover related costs for lawyer and court fees, birth mother expenses, and some other adoption-related costs as we bring home a child in the near future. We hope that by inviting you to become a piece of our adoption adventure, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to continue to build around our child as he/she grows up.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a puzzle piece fundraiser to invite you to become a piece of our adoption adventure. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total over $45,000. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. While this number may seem overwhelming, even the smallest amount helps. For example, if 600 people donate $30 each, we will have almost reached our goal. We invite you to join us on our journey towards adoption and welcome you to invite your friends and family along, as well!! We are excited to do this fundraising via AdoptTogether as it will give donors a tax deduction for all gifts towards our cause. Everyone who donates to our adoption becomes a permanent part of our adoption journey; a piece of our puzzle! Here's how it works: - We have created a custom 520 piece puzzle, and each piece will represent someone who donates to help us bring Baby Blue home! - Each puzzle piece is a minimum donation of $30! - You may just want to be represented on one piece of our puzzle or on many pieces! - Your name will be written on the back of each piece you represent! If you would like to write a message for the baby with your donation, please comment with that message and we will save it in a special book for baby Blue.
