Hi. We are Nathan and Staci Bodenstein. This is our adoption story: Staci has always felt called to adopt. As a teenager she heard an awesome story of how the Lord used adoption in the life of a friend and He pressed it into her heart. She has been praying for Nate to come around since they got married almost 5 years ago. In December he finally said he was ready. They prayerfully started pursuing foster care with hopes of adopting out of the foster care system. They finished foster training on Sunday, February 26. On Tuesday, February 28, the doctor who delivered all three of their children called. She asked how serious they were about adopting; obviously the answer was "dead serious." She then told them about a patient who was about 20 weeks along wanting to give the baby up and asked if she could give their name to her lawyer. Their doctor said there were several families ahead of them; typically families who have fertility issues are priority. The following Monday they got another call from the doctor. There was only one family left to call and she was fairly sure they would say no. Wednesday, March 8 she called again. The other family didn't want the baby! Thursday, March 9 the adoption attorney called and on Friday, March 10, 11 days after finding out it was even a possibility, the Bodensteins and the birth mom met and were officially matched! Staci got to go to the ultrasound and see her son on Monday, March 13; less than 2 weeks after they found out he even existed. 2 weeks prior, they had no plans of a private adoption-didn't even know it was a possibility. But God had these plans. He had orchestrated every detail and made it abundantly clear this is the baby to complete the Bodenstein family. Would you and your family prayerfully consider becoming part of our adoption story by helping financially?
