We have BIG news! We will be officially matched with our boys Friday August 2nd!
We are adopting a sibling group of three amazing brothers! Their ages are 6, 4, and 3. It is our deepest desire to become these boys' forever family and ensure that they feel safe and loved in one stable home and never have to go into foster care again.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome these amazing little guys into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our boys as they grow up! We will be officially placed with the boys in the next two weeks and our placement fee of $7,500 will be due the day they arrive in our home. We have personally paid for all of our adoptive costs up until this point, but we need your help with the remaining costs. We are prepared to provide for these boys in our monthly budget, but these larger fees are not in our reach without your assistance. We are writing grants to help with these costs as well, but that money is never a guarantee.
Thank you in advance for your generosity! We have already provided respite care for these three fabulous boys and have fallen in love with them! They fit so well in our family and we are overwhelmed that we get to adopt them! We feel like the lucky ones! Even our dog Sampson agrees that they make our tribe more fun! We super love our extended tribe of family and friends and we know that these boys will be blessed by having such a loving and devoted support system to surround them. We can't wait to post pictures of these wonderful boys on the day they officially become Bowens!
