We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs are often $30,000 - $60,000. We have set a goal of $18,000 to offset the financial cost that often overwhelm adoptive parents. The funds being collected will be used for direct costs of the adoption such as attorney fees ($10,000 - $15,000), state fees ($1,800 - $2,500), home study fees ($1,500 - $2,500), Misc ($2,000-$4,000). The goal set does not include items such as travel costs to California, lodging, food, baby items, etc. Should we exceed the $18,000 goal we will submit request to Adopt together to grant funds for those items.
Abigail Noel entered the world sooner than expected and was born 12/20/2019 6 lbs 7oz and 19 inches long. We were able to fly out to California and meet her within the first few days of her being born. We fell in love immediately. Because of her unexpected and early entrance we have had to expedite the entire adoption process. This has created an immediate need to raise some funds to help offset the substantial adoption cost incurred. If you are able, please consider contributing to help us bring Abi to her forever home.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up. There are several options available through Adopt Together crowd funding including one time funding or monthly funding. We are thankful for any support you provided whether its funds, a kind word, a thoughtful deed, or a simple prayer.
