We have some BIG news!! Our family is growing through adoption again! We have been chosen by a mama to adopt her 4-year-old little girl!! On Wednesday we are traveling to meet her! A year ago God put it on my heart that there was a child/children who was already alive that would join our family and He was preparing the way. Not knowing exactly what that looked like we moved forward in faith and updated our home study over the summer and even started the process to get licensed through foster care. We decided to walk through every open door and trust that God would lead. It has been a roller coaster these last few months and we’ve waited to spill the beans until we knew what God was up to. Our kids have been along for the ride and Haven has continually prayed for a 4-year-old sister. When she would pray this I would remind her not to get her hopes up and that we should keep an open mind. Turns out her prayers have been answered! We are thrilled, nervous, excited, sad…every emotion under the sun! Please pray for us, this sweet little girl, and her brave birth mama! Adoption is beautiful, but deep loss is at its core. We sit in the tension of joy and sorrow. There is still a legal process and we need God to move some big financial mountains before we can make this a reality!
