From the early days of our marriage, we have had a heart for adoption. We love kids and know that they are all created in God&'s image. We have always been especially moved by James 1:27 that says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." Brian is a Community Pastor at a church in the Houston area and Whitney is a pre-school teacher. We have two children, Emily and Joshua. We are currently in the process of adopting a child from China and were matched with a little 2 1/2 year old boy at the beginning of November 2015. Adoption is so much bigger than us (the paperwork, steps, and finances) but we have clearly felt God&'s approval to step out by faith and obey. Never before have we done something like this where we are truly walking by faith and not by sight. We are excited to see how God will bring others along side of us through their encouragement, prayer, and financial support.
